Siberia Pics
Made it into Shanghai about 12 hours ago. Weather is cold and rainy, but still considerably warmer than Chicago. Here are some pictures of Siberia taken from the plane.

Welcome back! Hope you enjoy the little time you have around here and I look forward to your updates about the trip.
You ought to go get a good haircut.

When I flew to China, I couldn’t see Siberia for the clouds. Looks pretty.

Nice pictures. It seems the air is quite clean there. I thought the plane flied cross the Pacific Ocean.

@Jiang
When you fly from Chicago, you fly North up through the Antarctic and then back down south, not East. It’s much quicker that way. Actually, even when you fly from LA or San Francisco, you head North, although along the coast, through Alaska and Siberia.

It’s funny, I think I have a picture of that same river cutting through those mountains. Every time I make that flight I try to imagine what it’s like to live down there… not quite as easy as life at either end of that plane trip, for sure.
