Most of Chinese people care about money instead of Mao.
Mao is a historical figure. Who cares about him?
I think it is China's progress.

Defacing public properties should not be tolerated, let alone the statue of the Great Leader. The highly competent Fuzhou PSB will catch the perpetrator(s). In my opinion, the criminal(s) should be jailed for 5 minutes or pay a fine of 1 kuai RMB, whichever is less. And this penalty should only be applicable to defacing of Mao's statues in China.

"So what exactly are the penalties for defacing the great leader? Be interested to hear everyone’s thoughts."

Seek and ye shall find...

"Chinese journalist Yu Dongyue was jailed for more than 16 years for hurling eggshells filled with red paint at the Mao portrait at the height of the 1989 demonstrations."
