Ok Ben,
Decided to help you out on this one. I am sure you know some of this, but I’ll assume you don’t in my explanation. WOW, wow, and world of warcraft are all the same thing, that being an online multi player game (and Carpel Tunnel factory) that many people dedicate their lives to. As a result, many dubious enterprises, especially in places like China and eastern Europe, have found ways to quickly accumulate ‘gold’, the games monetary instrument. They often set up hundreds of ‘droids’ or ‘bots’ which are computer controlled player accounts that attack easy enemies and collect the loot 24/7. Then they pool all the loot together and try to sell it for REAL money to REAL players who are willing to pay . The email is obviously just a repetitive slinging together of all the keywords they could think of to entice a player who wants to buy World of Warcraft gold (perhaps additionally run through a software translator for good measure). Though i am no expert on the game and in fact have never played it, i am guessing that a ‘lightning hoof’ is an important item in the game, perhaps it makes the games horses (used as mounts?) run faster. i don’t know about that one. But they are obviously hocking these virtual wares not only to US customers but also to people in the EU(the game has regional servers).
They may also be offering to buy ‘gold’ from players who decide they have a surplus, or i am guessing more commonly from rich players who want to quit the game for good and cash out for real cash. They will then resell this gold at a profit. it seems they sell gold in denominations of 1000 and that markets of scale are in place.
Leveling services must be a service whereby they help your account gain levels (in-game power) while you are not personally playing. maybe a Chinese person plays for you or a computer controls the account. anyways, hope that clears up things a bit.
